Chuankai Zhang

Physician/Postdoctoral Fellow

I obtained his PhD from the Institute for Cardiovascular Prevention (IPEK) at Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU), where I extensively researched the complex mechanisms governing immune responses related to atherosclerosis. My research focuses on how the B cell immune response in artery tertiary lymphoid organs (ATLOs) interacts with atherosclerosis. Through this innovative work, we aim to uncover the role of ATLOs in atherosclerosis and define it as a bona fide autoimmune disease.
