I obtained my PhD degree at the Institute for Cardiovascular Prevention (IPEK) at the Ludwig Maximilans University (LMU) in Munich. I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at the first affiliated hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. My research focuses on the mechanisms that regulate immune tolerance in the development of atherosclerosis. In my recently published paper, I revealed the multilayered breakdown of peripheral T-cell immune checkpoints in advanced atherosclerosis.
